I have a MS-Access 2003 application that I want to send as demo to potential customers
The MS-Access file consists of 1 Logic file (forms, queries) and 2 Data files.
It also require [url removed, login to view] to run properly (a OCX which is not pre-registered on many computers apparently)
I would need an Installation directory that I'll place on a CD (probably with [url removed, login to view]) and it will install all the required components to the target machine. The install script would acc the required program-group to the start menu and suggest the user to execute the application as soon as the installation is completed.
It is also highly important to store the application in such way that the users will only have the permission to run it with NO access to the source code etc. It should be an MDE file and it should be possible for me to save it as an MDE file (for some reason, i didn't work for me..)
File will be installed on C:\2Care directory on the target machine.
Another important requirement is that the MDB files would reside on the CD installation source directory **UNCOMPRESSED**. So it would be easy me to create new installation CD when I have a new version of the Access Application simply by replacing some of the MDB files on the CD image.
The tables-file pointers are currently set to drive T:. To support that, the installation script must execute the command:
SUBST T: C:\2Care
and add a shortcut that execute that command to the Startup menu.
(side note: other users from the network will be able to use the application by mapping their drive T: to the 2Care folder...)
BTW, I don't know if this is the best way to work with Access on the network, so I would love to hear suggestions..
The winning bidder will be provided with the 3 MDB files and MSCOMCT2.OCX.
**IMPORTANT: Payment will be done 7 days after the work is complete as I will have to test it.****
**IMPORTANT 2: Priority will be given to bidders that will commit to a prompt delivery of the project, even if their bid is a bit more expensive.
**It should be a very simple task for those who know how to do it.
**Obviously, The MS access run-time has to be installed on the machine as well. I don't own it - so you should own it to bid on this project.**
