I am looking for a coder who can develop a simple system based on PHP and MySql. We will use the same user database as I have for my forum (SMF) to login. This consists of: #1 - User Login (& extended profile information) #2 - Step by Step Article Submission #3 - Editor/Admin Review & Approval #4 - Insertion on our website once approved. #5 - Integration with forum. This application needs to allow users to submit a news abstract for editor(admin) review. We want the user to be able to upload a supporting photo or file. We also want to guide the user through the submission process in steps to ensure everything is formatted properly. Once a user has submitted their article, then the editor(admin) will need a way to view, edit, and approve the news article. Once approved the article should show up in the correct category on the news pages of our website. The look should fit with our other pages on the site and we can discuss this in more detail. When an article is approved, it should also be posted simultaneously as a new thread in the appropriate category of the forum for users to discuss the article. A link to the new thread should be inserted at the end of the articles as well for ease of navigation if a viewer wishes to discuss the article. Forum users fill out the standard SMF registration. If they want to submit an article, they will be required to complete an extended profile which allows them to add education institutions, employers, and co-author information should it apply. I have attached some basic screen shots available to give you an idea of how the system should work and look. Keep in mind that registration will not be done as shown, it will be handled through SMF. Only advanced profile will be added to user database if they want to submit articles. I will be selecting a bid on 5/14/08 and need the deliverables ASAP. If you can get them done within 24 hours you will be given preference.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
