Project - Programmer/s required to modify existing software application. Primary Skills Required - Delphi (VCL, ADO, Web Broker) & Web Development Existing Application Some time ago we developed a small application in Delphi 6 to extract data from a third-party Access 2000 format database. The database contains information about used motor vehicles. From the extracted data we create a set of customised web pages using Web Broker templates and subsequently transfer these pages to our clients' websites via FTP. These pages contain either summary information (eg. make, model, price ranges, etc) or a unique page for each vehicle. Our current programmer has recently retired from IT. As such I am seeking the services of a programmer to modify our application.

## Deliverables

Modifications Required 1. The database now features more fields. As a result we need to extract more data. The original database had featured only one photograph. Now we have up to 8 per vehicle. 2. The templates we originally used are quite primitive and now need some expert design input. The original concept to some degree was that we would provide this application to our clients. They would get their templates custom designed (utilising the Web Broker tags) and use our application to create their website. This worked for a few clients, for example [url removed, login to view] (standard install) OR [url removed, login to view] (customised templates), but not as effectively as we hoped. This is where the majority of the work will lie. We need a series (more than 1 style) of professional looking templates that can be customised to each of our clients with limited skills. In addition to the vehicle images the original software allows for two customisable client images. A client utilises their own image (typically a corporate logo) via the third-party application. Our application recognises this and uses it in creating the client's webpages. The application currently also incorporates a customisable "bar" image. This was added to further differentiate each client from the other. By using different images a client could change the basic look of their website. I am open as to changing this should an alternative approach be more efficient. However, please keep in mind the "individual look" must be maintained. The Access Database is generated by a product called Easycars. I have made available a demonstration copy of the software via this link. Sample images You will need to populate your database with sample [url removed, login to view] file will self extract to C:\Program Files\EasyCars\Vehicle Photos [url removed, login to view] When opening the sample database each vehicle should present with three images (the image name is based on the vehicle's stock number) If not they may require re attaching. If this is required please follow these instructions. Open Easycars Select Enter Stock Details from the menu This will open to a vehicle screen Select Edit from the menu and then the Options tab In the lower right hand corner there is an image box Attached and delete images by using the add/ delete buttons. Select save. The Next or Previous buttons will assist you in alternating between vehicles. IMPORTANT Instructions. 1. Please install Easycars first 2. Extract the demo database to C:\Program Files\EasyCars 3. Attached images as described above 4. Open Easyweb and select publish. This will provide the basic look and feel of what we are trying to accomplish. In order to customise the templates first backup the following folder C:\Program Files\EasyWeb\Templates Create your own templates using the "tags" as provided in the original templates plus any new tags (added) for the additional images. 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
