you have to produce a online catalogue system, which will allow a me to run my daily operations. I would like a system which will have a dual functionality & allow registered customers to buy single items from the retail option or buy large amounts of clothes from the wholesale option. At this page I would like two separate login options one for normal users(retail) and the other for traders(wholesalers) to login and order. the site has to be secure. the system should allow customers to view items, but to purchase they will need to become members, which will enable them to log onto the system given a password and user I.D.
The aim will be to have an end product but only implementing the main features. As I am a novice to the whole concept of ecommerce, the objective will be to design a friendly User Interface which will allow me to test and run through the product.
You will have to design a prototype of an online catalogue system. The system will feature:
-Checking current stock and availability
-include a stock level control system for me to monitor
-search option to narrow down search time on clothing items
-Viewing features of items (price, colour, size, design)
-Friendly User Interface
My database is to include 5 items which will be shoes, shirts, jeans, jackets and sweatshirts. Under these headings I would like a description of 5 products of my choice.
I would like the website and database to be kept basic and not to complex. I would like it to be fully functional.
I would like a document explaining how the system was developed and created. I would also like an explanation on what software was used and the benefits of the software to my web site and database. & a user guide explaining each of the buttons & the links from the database & website

this will need to run on windows 98 and windows xp
