Hi, I'm trying to get a descriptions for each of the approximately 1000 freeware and shareware programs I have downloaded, so I can make Web pages for a new freeware site. I want to get the descriptions off Web pages either from the original authors or from other freeware sites which list the programs.
I would like a simple GUI search engine written for Windows which can take a text or cvs list of search terms separated by carriage returns and return 2 to 20 search engine responses for each term in the form of a Web Page. The user should have the choice to use Google, Yahoo, Lycos, or Overture. They should also have the choice for choosing how many responses for each search term.
The license for the code will be expected to be a GPL license. The program will be listed on my websites for free but requesting donations. 50 % of the donations will revert to the author of the program.
I have tried unsuccessfuly to find such a search engine and I expect this program to be at least of some use for Web researchers in general.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site).
Windows 95-XP would eventually like to port to Linux and Java but that is for the future.
