I wrote a console version for this project already and need a visual programmer to incorporate it into a nice GUI wizard. OBJECTIVE: Simple (four step) Win32 GUI wizard that modifies generic (relative) “playlist data?? from an input file and puts them into a user defined directory. The resulting playlists would contain the same .mp3 files, but now pointing to a specific directory defined by the user. FOUR STEP PLAYLIST WIZARD: 1. Select the desired playlist data file using the current root directory the wizard is running from (as the default directory location, which would most likely be a folder on the production MP3 CD), but allow a browse feature to input an ASCII playlist data file ([login to view URL], [login to view URL], etc.) from any location. 2. Ask the user to select a directory location where the target MP3 files are or will be copied to (default to “\My Documents\My Music\?? folder). This is the main goal of the program ??" I would like the user to determine where the MP3 files will go. Allow standard winXP “open file?? options (see file\open in Windows Explorer, Word, etc.) like “My Documents??, “Desktop??, etc. on the left and include the option to create a new folder (in case the user hasn’t copied the MP3 files yet). 3. Ask the user to select a directory location where the modified playlist files will be created. Same browse interface as in step 2. 4. Have a “GO?? button and/or summary sheet of what the wizard is about to do and where (not required, but may be helpful). On “GO??, wizard executes, displays a message, and exits. Could include a “check box?? option before the execution phase which if checked, would display the new playlist folder after completion. This would allow a quick way to double click on a playlist and check that it works (only if files were previously copied, though).
