MS Exchange Server Plugin

NOTE: This bid request has been updated (requirements expanded) and the deadline for bids extended. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!! Project is the development of an anti-spam 'plugin' for Microsoft Exchange Server 2000/2003 that will be capable of accessing the e-mail in all mailboxes hosted by the server in question (much like anti-virus software or back-up software), along with a configuration tool to modify the settings of the 'plugin'. Integration of installation, help and licensing components is required as part of the project. Licensing and help will ONLY be integrated into the configuration tool. For security and simplicity reasons, the 'plugin' will need to function as a service. The 'plugin' will scan e-mail as it arrives and delete all messages that meet specific criteria set by the system administrator in the configuration tool. The final product should mimic the capabilities of the product found here: [login to view URL] The following components will be provided to the coder: Installation Component: InstallShield Express from InstallShield (or a higher-end version if necessary) Licensing Component: Modified version of ProtectionPlus from [login to view URL] (C++ and VB, including examples) ## Deliverables 1. Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2. Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3. Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. Additional details are as follows: 1. Product must not be overly demanding of the server CPU. 2. Product must store settings in an appropriate portion of the registry. 3. Product MUST NOT interfere with anti-virus software. 4. Product MUST NOT interfere with backup software. 5. Installation routine must be capable of configuring the required rights in Exchange-including creation of a user account if necessary OR must include very clear instructions on the steps required to prepare for product installation (excellent examples of this are Symantec Anti-virus for Exchange or Veritas BackupExec). ## Platform Windows 2000 Server/Windows 2003 Server running Exchange 2000 or Exchange 2003
