Web application development.. simple design.. simple logic... Involving processing SMS/TEXT messages.
The processing be to allow clients to manage SMS traffic in and out of their account. SMS traffic means, for instance, a pizza joint wants to run a mobile VIP program. He calls in, gets a short code and a keyword when he orders the account with us. Example.. Joe's Pizza.. We assign JOE on 44544. He logs in with email / creates a password. And sets up his account. For instance, when people join his mobile vip program by texting in JOE to 44544, an auto-reply message has to be setup. Something like:
Thank you for joining Joe's mobile VIP club. Max 1 msg/week. Text Stop to quit. visit [url removed, login to view] for more. And he's done.. he goes to work and puts up posters: TEXT JOE to 44544 to join our VIP club. Consumers start TEXTING IN.. They get the auto-reply message. Once a week, Joe logs in and checks how many people are in his club. Once a week Joe logs in and sends out a TEXT message to everyone offering 10% off this Thursday between 10am-noon.
There's a simple HTTP/XML API for the sms gateway we'll be using.. With it, you will receive text messages and there's another API to send messages.
Functionality then, requires:
login (email address, password)
view messages sent
view messages received
enter the auto-reply message TEXT-INs receive when they join.
send one message to everyone in the DB
Maybe have this send function be able to schedule messages to be sent in the future.
As far as the SMS interface goes, that's a 2 hour job to be able to receive the TEXTs and sending the TEXTs out. (You just run through the DB sending the message to each cell phone in the DB.) There is also an API for receiving opt-out messages and help messages. These are additional steps in the account setup..
I'm looking for a snazzy GUI sitting on top of an SQL DB interfacing with the SMS gateway.
That's about it ..If you're at all good with a GUI development tool.. and an SQL DB, The 3-4 forms ought to go quickly.. I can help you the SMS Interface APIs - These operate under HTTP POST/GET protocol.. so when a TEXT comes in, it's passed to our program.. our program looks up the keyword in the body of the message.. and the 5 digit shortcode the message was sent to, and goes into that account to operate/fulfill that text in.. Try it here.. texting ALS to 85700.. or PIZZAPIZZA1 to 41411
One day job for the "good programmer."
I don't really care what the System is developed in.. .NET, PHP, Joomla, VB, Java, Adax, whatever you're proficient in.
I have a Windows account on Godaddy at present. I don't care if we use that or go to Unix.
I might be willing to work on this project with you for free. Hit me up with a PM or something. (I just joined this site so I am still trying to figure it all out).
