Context: This project is for a real estate brokerage and needs to import residential property data from the local MLS (multiple listing service)
via an IDX (Internet Data Exchange) feed daily.? I have included the complete technical support guide from our MLS system on how to do this.? The data is delivered daily via an FTP file.? My website needs to pickup the data and deliver it formatted into a property search then drill down into an individual property.? There will be custom pre-defined searches that the user can click on to find the data.?
I have created a new blogsite at [url removed, login to view] to attract high end homebuyers coming to the area. To see how this would work, checkout the following website:
[url removed, login to view]
checkout the "My Recommended Searches" section in the left hand navigation bar. See all the different pre-selected searches that are setup for the different area homes (ie. golf course homes, waterfront homes, etc.). I'd like to create the same thing on my new website.
The data is given daily via an FTP feed but that data would have to be screened by a subdivision field to create these custom searches and then the pages would have to be formatted like the ones in the website example above.
Attached is the IDX guide. See section 7 on the technical feed for the data.
Please see section 7 specifically for the technical how to on handling the IDX feed from the FTP daily load
