I need someone to make changes to an existing shopping cart that is developed in ASPX, C#, and SQL Server.
When you set up an attribute for a product, you have three options for the "Display Control" setting:
The TextBox option provides an empty text box for the user to type in, instead of having them select a value.
This is used for attributes such as the following:
- Initial for First Name
- Initial for Middle Name
- Initial for Last Name
- Special Instructions
The admin has set up an attribute called "Single Name". When a user is placing an order, they can enter text in the "Single Name" field, but when they "Add to Cart" the "Single Name" is not getting carried forward to the other screens, and is not getting saved in the database.
Please look at the attached screen shots. In the "Order - Example 1" folder, you will see three screen shots. In the [url removed, login to view] screen shot, the "Single Name", "Font", and "Thread Color" are entered by the user and they display in the summary box to the right (above the 'Add to Cart' button)
In the [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view] screen shots, the "Font" and "Thread Color" is carried forward, but not the "Single Name"
In the "Admin Screens" folder, look at the [url removed, login to view] screen shot. When I bring up an order where "Single Name" was entered, it is not displaying in the order summary.
In the "Database" folder, look at the [url removed, login to view] screen shot. In the Order_Item table, look at the Attributes column for order 2. You can see where the "Font" and "Thread Color" are being saved, but not the "Single Name"
The data for TextBox attributes (such as Single Name) will need to be saved to the database, just like data for other product attributes. It will also need to be displayed on the screens like the other product attributes.
