This was supposed to be a simple banner rotating script but we'ver run into a bit of a glitch. Need som help ASAP...
Here is a database table that stores the banner codes:
CREATE TABLE banners (
id int(5) NOT NULL auto_increment,
bannercode text NOT NULL,
size enum('a','b','c','d','e','f','g','h') NOT NULL default 'a',
PRIMARY KEY (id)
) TYPE=MyISAM;
the 'size' field shows the banner size/group, possible groups are: 'a' through 'h' ...
For example "a" grouping ='s all the banners that are 468x60 in size... "b"= banners that are 125x125 in size... and so on and so on...
The script that this management program will be integrated into is template based.
The admin must be able to insert a speicified variable into a template that would be randomly replaced with the banner code.
There must be a capability to define the size inside the template, for example, the
admin must be able to put: {BANNERa}, {BANNERb}, {BANNERc} on the template and it would be replaced with the banner code from the specific size group. The admin should be able to places several banners of the same size on one template, for example {BANNERa} at the top, and {BANNERa} at the
bottom of the page or {BANNERb} and {BANNERc} in other locations he so chooses.
Class of template handler: PEAR/IT.
