I need a custom Perl script modified. The custom script is using/calling the Mail::Sendmail perl module to generate an e-mail. While everything was working correctly for months, we all of the sudden stopped receiving the e-mails, even though the log files indicated they had been sent. My hosting company has informed me that we need to either include email authentication in the script so that the mail is not being sent from the nobody user or use a different method for generating and sending the e-mail.
The error I am getting from the mail log is = "Gid 500 is not permitted to relay mail, or has directly called /usr/sbin/exim instead of /usr/sbin/sendmail."
This has proven to be over my head, but I am hoping should be a quick and easy edit for someone else.

I'm very accustomed to debugging/troubleshooting code written in a plethora of programming languages. Since Unix is dominant in my work, home and leasure environment this absolutely includes Perl.
