I have a self-written perl script with a large set of mysql queries in it. I want someone who can adjust the script and the mysql queries (or database), so that the script will run much faster. I'm not that expert in Perl, so I'm sure that there is a lot to adjust to speed up the script.

Please keep in mind that I want the exact same outcomes that the script uses now! It's about 800 lines of the script (a whole subfunction) that need adjusting. You may also adjust the mysql database if necessary.

This is a great opportunity for a programmer, as I might be looking for a long term working relationship.

Hi, The bottle neck is probably the database disk usage. Some proper indexing/caching and maybe reworking the script will help. Optimization is my specialty.
