I need a script/program which will run on a linux terminal, preferably one which I can put in a screen and close out to run in the background nonstop. I need the program to query a MySQL table which will have a string in each row. I need it to take the first string in the queue, and run a command modeled below in which the program run each time is the same, but the flag changes: ./[url removed, login to view] -config /path/to/files/$[url removed, login to view] After that script is finished running, it should delete that string from the MySQL table, and go to the next string in the queue. If the table is empty (all strings have been run) the program should wait x seconds before querying the database for new strings. A config file along with the program would be nice which the program reads from to get certain variables such as the MySQL database information and the number of seconds between queries if there are no strings to process.
