Salesforce Enhancement Requests Objects Involved: Contact, Donation, Receipt, Volunteer Service 1. Annual Donation E-Receipt Automation Objective: Automatically generate and send an annual donation e-receipt PDF. Trigger/Timing: April 1st of each year. Logic: Retrieve all Receipt records for the contact from the previous year. Sum the total amount of all receipts. Generate a PDF e-receipt showing the total annual donations. Send email to [login to view URL] with the PDF attached. Optionally, create a new Receipt record to log the annual summary. Fields/Objects Used: Receipt (for summing donations) [login to view URL] (for sending PDF) Receipt (for annual receipt record) Implementation Suggestions: Use Scheduled Flow or Apex Scheduled Class to run on April 1st. Use Visualforce or Salesforce PDF generation for e-receipt. 2. Volunteer E-Certificate Automation Objective: Automatically send volunteer e-certificates (PDF) and update record. Trigger/Timing: Immediately after a Volunteer Service record is created. Logic: If Volunteer Cert Sent = 0, generate PDF e-certificate. Send email to the related Contact.Email. Update Volunteer Cert Sent checkbox field to 1. Fields/Objects Used: Volunteer Service [login to view URL] Volunteer Cert Sent (checkbox) Implementation Suggestions: Use Record-Triggered Flow to send email and update checkbox automatically. 3. Volunteer Service Object Enhancements Objective: Add fields to track volunteer service more accurately. Fields to Add: Type (Picklist: Corp, Group, Individual) – Required Group Name (Text) Bad Performance (Checkbox, default unchecked) Volunteer Cert Sent (Checkbox, default unchecked) Implementation Suggestions: Add new fields to page layouts. Make Type mandatory on record creation. 4. Update Contact Total Service Hour Calculation Objective: Update [login to view URL] Service Hour formula. Current: Summarizes Service Hour only. Updated Formula: Summarize (Service Hour × Number of Attendees) from all related Volunteer Service records. Fields/Objects Used: Volunteer [login to view URL] Hour Volunteer [login to view URL] of Attendees [login to view URL] Service Hour (Roll-Up or formula field) ✅ Notes / Considerations for Salesforce Admin: PDF generation may require Visualforce, Flow with PDF action, or Apex. Daily volunteer certificate emails can use Record-Triggered Flow. Annual donation receipts should use Scheduled Flow or Apex Scheduled Class. Ensure all new fields are added to page layouts for proper visibility. Email and PDF template will be provided.
