Building a simplified AI-powered CV generator web app for a university pilot program. Students will be able to: • Log in using their school email (magic link, restricted domain) • Upload their CV (PDF) • Automatically extract and structure their profile (experience, education, skills, languages) • Edit and complete their profile • Paste a job offer (text or link) • Generate an adapted CV based on the job requirements • Generate a tailored cover letter • Preview the result • Export a clean professional PDF This is a closed Proof of Concept for partner schools. No payments, no subscriptions, no mobile app at this stage. Preferred stack: [login to view URL] + simple backend (Node/Supabase) + OpenAI + HTML-to-PDF generation. Clean, documented, fully transferable code required.

Extracting structured data from PDFs can be tricky depending on formatting, so I suggest using an established parsing library combined with OpenAI to fill gaps or correct inconsistencies in extracted info. For the magic link login with domain restriction, are you open to using Supabase Auth’s built-in email magic link system? It simplifies secure access and domain filtering without much custom work. Regarding CV adaptation, I recommend prompt engineering to clearly match job offer requirements with profile data for accurate tailored output. Also, generating the final PDF can be done server-side for consistent styling and quality. Having worked on a similar university project to automate student profiles and match job descriptions, I know how to streamline the flow for a smooth user experience and manageable backend.
