Odoo Module Access Rights Adjustment

I need to tidy up the access control in my current Odoo instance. Right now, the moment I switch on the Discuss module it automatically surfaces Calendar and Contacts for everyone as well, which is not the behaviour I want. My goal is simple: • Only select users should see and use Discuss. • Calendar and Contacts must stay hidden unless I explicitly grant those modules to the same or different users. • Each module should respect its own access rights, so no more “all-or-nothing” activation side-effects. I will provide you with administrator credentials to a staging database first, so you can adjust the security groups, record rules or any other mechanism you deem fit, test the result, and then replicate the change on production once I sign off. Acceptance criteria • When a user without the new “Discuss Access” right logs in, Discuss does not appear. • When that same user is later granted Calendar or Contacts, only the newly granted module(s) appear. • Users granted the dedicated “Discuss Access” group can open, read and post messages in Discuss, but gain no additional rights to Calendar or Contacts unless explicitly given. • No existing data or workflows are broken in the process. Please outline your approach, the Odoo tools you will use (groups, ACLs, record rules, etc.) and an estimated timeframe so we can get started right away.
