We have a 2 person team right now yii2 guy is in india and angular node side is in spain and we get stuck in the middle of the day without coverage or assistance getting things patched or even estimated. We also have the issue of skillsets where neither of the guys will look at each others side of the application since its all abstracted via api's they dont feel the need to and they dont have the dev language skills to be effective here. We constantly have to pull some of our senior guys from other projects to assist these guys and really we think the solution is now to get some help bridging the team and having someone with the right skills sets for the entire stack.
We are looking to add a unifying person that can easily look t both sides of the codebase and help us have more stability during the day and be more senior as to help lead the team forward in a better way. The tasks would be things like
-Support for quick fixes or investigation on issues as they come up throughout the day
-Moving the code forward with new features
-Helping apply good dev and devOps skills so we can be more confident and stable in the future as we extend the platforms
-Helping PM create tasks and word break downs that are logical and dev ready so more of the thinking is done by a technical person
-Helping us hold the members accountable for the work we are doing. We have missteps sometimes at an architecture level that really hurt and it would be good to identify things ahead of time to avoid future headaches and refactoring. some of our api design is elegant and some is embarrassing. we want to minimize embarrassing things :)
Need an honest, good/fast communicator, with stable work schedule. Experienced running projects with multiple people (and personalities) with modern devOps practices.
