Architect-Level Shopify App Build

I’m kicking off a green-field Shopify app that will sit at the core of several Shopify Plus storefronts, and I need an architect-level partner to help shape and ship it. The single most critical focus is custom app functionality. From day one we’ll build: • advanced product filters that stay lightning-fast even on large catalogs, • a re-imagined, fully branded checkout flow, and • robust user-account management features. All code will be produced through an agentic workflow with Claude Code, written in TypeScript, and run on a Node.js + Postgres stack. A React front-end will power both the merchant admin and storefront widgets, and the app must be flexible enough to operate headlessly for Hydrogen or other front-end frameworks. Visual language should feel native to our existing Shopify Plus stores, so please mirror the typography, spacing, and color tokens already in production. Theme extensions need to drop seamlessly into Online Store 2.0 while exposing components that can also be consumed by a headless build. Alongside the core features, the architecture must leave room for complex ERP integrations; prior experience connecting Shopify events to platforms like NetSuite, Odoo, or SAP is highly valued. Deliverables will include: • Type-safe Claude-generated source in GitHub • React storefront widgets (filters, checkout steps, account dashboard) • Secure Shopify app back-end with PostgreSQL schema & migrations • Theme extension / Hydrogen-ready components matching current design system • Automated Docker-based deploy pipeline and CI tests • Concise technical hand-off docs and a Loom walkthrough Acceptance criteria: 1. Clean install on a fresh Plus sandbox. 2. Filters return correct results in <250 ms on 1 k SKU catalog. 3. Checkout extension passes Shopify compliance checks. 4. OAuth-secured API with zero auth leaks. 5. Strict-mode TypeScript builds with 0 ESLint errors and ≥90 % unit-test coverage.
