Hello, I've been developing in the .Net environment for 5+ years, and have over 20 years experience. I'm currently a Senior Applications Developer working on an ASP.Net application. I also have over 10 years of Windows development experience as well. I'm about to be promoted to Lead Developer, and will probably be doing less actual coding, so I'm planning on taking on side-work to keep my skills sharp. The financial amount is not important to me; I'm doing it more for the fun of writing code. I've done many types of work with part number generation. I worked for years in the Automotive industry, particularly transmissions and engines, where part number creation needs to be done. The part number had a similar break-down as what you're describing; each segment of the part number was an indicator of various characteristics of the part. I have over 15 years of development in the Microsoft platform, from VB3 to C/C++ to .Net. I have extensive database experience as well, including SQL Server, Oracle, Access, and others. I will complete this application on time, complete, and with full support. This is my first freelance project, but I'd be happy to talk to you so we can get a feel of comfort.
