I regularly bring consumer goods into India as full-scale cargo shipments and I’m looking for a seasoned import agent who can step in as my on-the-ground partner for every consignment. You should already be comfortable navigating Indian customs regulations, duty structures, port procedures, and the quirks that come with different ICDs and seaports. For each shipment I will rely on you to handle: • Customs clearance • Documentation (shipping bills, BOE, duty calculations, post-clearance paperwork) • Logistics coordination from port to my designated warehouse If you also have proven contacts with freight forwarders, transporters, or CHA networks, please highlight that—smooth hand-offs are important to me. When you respond, include: • A quick overview of similar cargo projects you’ve managed, especially for consumer goods. • The specific services you offer across the above areas, along with any value-adds such as duty drawback assistance or DGFT liaison. • Your fee structure (one-time, per container, or retainer) and any volume discounts for a long-term engagement. I plan to start with the next inbound container, so please indicate how soon you could be ready to act as my authorised representative at the port.
