Hi, while I have installed and maintained lots of different kinds of applications on Linux, I recall that the first one was squid many many years ago and I still enjoy its administration a configuration. Other apps I can manage other than squid and probably you are using right now include bind (dns), iptables and shorewall (firewall), mysql (database), apache (web server). As for the Linux version, I mainly work on Centos, RHEL and Debian, so since Ubuntu is really like Debian I can support it accordingly. I'm based in Venezuela so I'm mostly active between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM EST (gmt -4).
