Do you want the app to run fully offline with no installs needed later? Export mainly Excel, or also PDF needed from day one? Rough data size… few hundred or more? I went through your description carefully. Hi, this is Ambar Shome, I work independently but also run Shome & Associates for larger projects. I’ve built similar small WPF tools before. Forms, save locally, export, then same data into Excel/PPT/Word. Nothing fancy, just clean and stable. Happy to handle this. I’ll keep it simple… WPF with MVVM (light), local SQLite DB so no setup pain, Entity Framework for easy changes later. Forms with live validation (basic rules + required fields). Data saved, listed in grid, editable again. Export flow… data → one clean dataset → Excel first, then same used for PPT + Word so numbers don’t mismatch. This part I keep same, otherwise issues come later. Also handling small things: auto-save draft duplicate check on import background export (UI won’t hang) lock Excel formulas after fill simple templates so links don’t break small review screen before final export Nothing overcomplicated. Easy to extend later. Better to keep exports fixed first, then open it later. Should I keep database as simple file-based SQLite (A) or full SQL Server Express (B)?
