Using a method of your choice (e.g. Garage Band, Audacity, Abelton, tape decks), create a 3-minute mash-up of a collection of songs that somehow relate to one another. They might be in a similar key or have a similar rhythm, or they might relate to each other through their subject matter, allusions, or other aspects of their language. You must include elements from at least 10 different songs. Include in your project an annotated “flowchart” of the material that you’ve sampled, in order, describing why each song was chosen. Careful: a mash-up is not a medley. This is a project that will require considerable working knowledge of audio editing software.
