Opportunity to tender – “Site Visit Companion App”
**Some details from this opportunity to tender have been redacted for security reasons**
******** is an ****** based marquee hire and event production company. Our marquee hire process requires a client site visit, where a company representative takes measurements of the pitch. The site visit is also used as a sales opportunity, with prospective clients introduced to additional items that may complement their marquee.
In the past, company reps have used physical media (photo album/brochure) to entertain clients whilst measuring the pitch. This is vital, as the site surveying requires the rep to concentrate – with the customer ideally occupied elsewhere.
********* is seeking to bring this process into the 21st century, and require a freelance developer to produce software that allows clients to explore our range of extras on an android tablet owned by the company.
The end result of this project should be an easy to use, graphically impressive piece of software that has a similar user experience to Pintrest or other online mood-boards, with an element of online shopping involved. Users should be able to self-start, with little input from the company rep, and begin exploring the range of optional extras they may wish to add into their marquee quote. The experience should be first and foremost fun and engaging, including a good range of photos of previous ************ work.
This software should delight and entertain the client, whilst informing them about our product range. It does not need to handle financial transactions, integration with our WMS or CRM software, or be available from appstores. Clients should be able to explore the product range, and simply “Star” items they like. The software should then output a document, viewable by only the administrator, that shows which items the customer has starred. These items will then be added to a formal quote at a later date. Crucially, the end result should work completely offline – as many marquee sites are out of cellular network range.
Available on request, with this brief, are some draft wireframe drawings designed to demonstrate the desired functionality. The wireframes are not intended as a graphical design guideline. When moving forward with this project, ********** will work with the developer to provide all necessary information, e.g. page structure diagrams, logos, photographs, and copy.
******* has considered multiple platforms for delivering this software project. An Interactive PDF, A Purpose-Developed Android App, A HTML5/Flash App, or an altered version of a generic e-commerce package are all possibilities. The platform should account for *********** wishing to add further stock items at a later day. We invite those tendering for this contract to advise and input on the most suitable platform – taking into consideration budget and timescale.
