ChampVid is a social competitive application which allows users to compete with each other through submitted video content (MP4) that is voted on by other users (on site followers/ external followers. i.e twitter/fb) to determine a winner out of 2.
This is how it works.
1) User "1" creates a video. (video can be created through the app only).
2) User "1" uploads the video and tags (challenges) a friend (User "2").
3) User "2" accepts the challenge by uploading a "Video Response".
4) Both videos are paired and the challenge/match is live (User 1 VS User 2).
5) Champvid automatically shares the challenge/match with each users contacts (followers) on the ChampVid network. And both users also have the option to share their challenge/match through Twitter / Facebook / ect.
6) Voting then starts to decide the winner. The first person to 10/25/50/100/500 votes wins. (User "1" picks the vote target as he is the challenge/match creator).
7) When a winner is chosen, the challenge/match closes. The winners contacts (followers) on the ChampVid network are notified that he has won. But the looser is not exposed to all his followers that he lost (anti-bullying app).
Profile Page :
The profile page is similar to that of Instagram. Each user has three statistics listed.
1) Number of followers
2) Number of Wins
3) Number of Losses
Overall App Template :
The app mainframe (template) should be exactly like vine. Except for 1 key difference.
1) Video should be split in 2 (split screen like on N64 Golden eye). With a divider line in the middle to show 2 videos in 1 box, instead of 1 video in the box. There is an image attached to explain what i mean.
Note: There will be other different components that will be needed for Champvid to function. Such as the voting mechanism on each video. And some other specific difference. But for now we need a Vine template which can show 2 videos. When you click on the left side the User "1" video expands in a lightbox and when you click on the right side the User "2" video expands in a lightbox.
