Mobile demo application

We’d like to work out an app idea of ours into a first demo/barebone version to prove the concept.
The functionality will be very similar to Tinder but with some minor changes.
We expect this application to be working on both Android and iOS.
We are unsure about the need for a backend for such an application. Could you provide your insights on this? And impact on the cost.
We’re looking into a couple of different developer studios and we’d like to hear your rough idea on price and ways of working.
We would provide the full detailed specifications and expect implementation and QA from you.
We will provide you with more details as soon as we have a good understanding of the way you operate.
