iPhone app which sends all UIControl events as JSON to a web server; can also receive JSON data as an event and dispatch to a UIControl

I want to build a proof of concept iPhone app. The app should be a single screen app with one each of all the major UI controls: button, date picker, sliders, switch, text field. When any of these received user interaction (if someone clicks a button, or enters text in the field), that event is serialized to JSON and then sent to a network service on a background thread within the app. The app should also contain a HTTP server (on a fixed port). If a user sends the same serialized JSON to the server inside the iPhone app, the app should receive the event and convert it to a native event and send it to the correct control. Effectively, I want a way to send and receive events within an app via HTTP. The web server can be a simple ruby sinatra app which I will write for you. I would like to use cURL as the method of sending the JSON back into the app and can provide an example of what that cURL command will look like. This should only work in debug mode. So, when the app is built in release mode, this code path should be #define'd out and disabled completely (i.e. no HTTP server inside the app, and the app should not send events as JSON to a server).
