This project deals with the development of the Sensing and Control system to allow the robot to move around its environment, using Sensors to detect the destinations. The Sensing and Control system receives instructions from the robot's Decision System, and passes sensor data back over to controller. Simple delivery robot system was made to make daily activities easier because the robot can deliver things to another place as long as it is in the same floor. The robot used can be summoned from several rooms using RF remote and can be ordered to deliver things and send messages. In this research, the robot can go to four designated rooms plus one base camp. The robot also has several features i.e.: alarm system which can indicate when the robot arrived at the destination, LCD and keyboard so the user can select destination and emergency system which will active when the robot stray out of the line. The emergency system activates video camera and alarm so the user can control the robot with remote control to position it back . All activities are controlled by PIC microcontroller 16F877A
The objectives of the project are:
To deal with the robot capability of carrying delivery packets.
To secure the delivery packets by assigning the security in the form of password/PIN.
To develop the tracking system for the robot which we can send the exact location/status through the SMS alert using GSM module.
To create the smart and contactless delivery robot with reduced human intervention for this pandemic situation and also for future.
We propose to deploy a user-targeted robot aimed to help the correspondence sharing and distribution. The robot will have moving capability and will be able to hold multiple little packages. Our system can make user’s lives much more time-efficient and at the same time will provide the department a cost-effective, easy-maintainable solution. Moreover, the system will be scalable in several aspects. The most important features are:
Security Guarantees via password and if any security breach happened signals will alert
The designer through SMS.
Detection of routes via line marks on floor.
Alert SMS while delivering the product reaching to the destination
