Good day,
After a long absence, We are in the process of beginning our online 3d project once again. This project will intail the Iphone and Ipad. We need backward compatibility as much as possible with previous i devices.
This project will consist in a MMORPG style game for the iphone. It will be in 3D. Once the app is started, users will be prompted to log on into the game server and play online, or to participate in the offline mode. The following funtionality needs to be developed, as most of the 3d props and objects are already available.
Coding of the iphone interface, UI and chat. Online users will have the ability to view other friends online and send messages. The programmer will also need to code online database ability with Sqlite or equivalent database management. Programmer will also need to setup one of our remote servers with the database software that will drive this game. Coder will be responsible to seting up the server completely for functionality through our home office, or through godaddy server.
Users will load in the game, and have a house to be inside of. They will also have the ability to go outside and walk around in the 3d environment. In order to level, the players will have to hunt different types of animals. other online players, will have the ability to meet up online with their friends inside their homes. Each player will have their own unique home map, where only by envitation they can be allowed into their map. Players need to be setup with the following characteristics:
choose between different body and hair types when the character is being reated.
They need to able to have a unique name not available to anyone else on the server.
players need to have a Energy bar that displays their health points. This number will increase as the level [url removed, login to view] number decreases when they get hurt by animals or people.
Strength bar, When players use special abilities, this bar will be used
Microtransaction system. Through paypal, the players will have the ability to purchase ingame items that they will be able to use in their house, or on themselves, armor, weapons, etc.
players will have the ability to farm around their house and plant different types of plants that will yield money to them after a specific alloted time
there will different areas in the game where players will be able to go to . In the different areas, the enemies will be of different levels
Players will be able to participate in Player vs player battles.
Programer will need to be intuitive into developing a app that will not be transmission excessive to the server. offline players and online alike can click a option to sync with database once. This option will just sync their information(level, health, items found, etc during offline mode with the server)
Coder needs to create neat code with Notes, on all sections of [url removed, login to view] needs to be clear and label what "all" specific groups of code do to the game. The code has to be commented "coder"friendly in the event that we have to go in and modify some of the code.
Coder needs to make agreement with us and surrender all rights to software and art created.
