Simple App: I have a spreadsheet with just less than 2000 rows, ten columns. The rows have names of individuals; city where located; number of actions taken by the individual in the prior quarter; then how many resulted in a positive outcome; a partially positive outcome or a negative outcome; then what percentage of actions were each. So, a user can then look up the individual by name, confirm the location and see the stats on the person's past action history. The person's name will be highlighted in a particular color. For somebody in the top 20% by favorability of their outcomes, the person's name will be highlighted in a darker green; then next 20% a lighter green; the next 20% a grey; the next 20% yellow; and the final 20% red.
The use of the app results in/requires a subscription. The user pays $[url removed, login to view] per month. Since the data is updated quarterly, I need to be able to update the results displayed, which would be done by having the app connect to my website, check the version number assigned for the data (which would equate to a date updated) and then load and use the most recent data available. Those who have failed to fund their subscription will not have access to data.
If there is not enough data on an individual in the current quarter (10 actions taken), then the data from the prior quarter, or most recent quarter in which there were at least 10 actions taken, will be used. The quarter will be specified to the user so they can see how old the working data is.
Users will then also be able to post their own results with the listed individual in terms of date; fully-favorable; part-favorable; and negative outcomes. The app will then display to the user whether their performance is better or worse than the market experience with that individual, again dividing results by quintiles and color coding the output.
Thus, a user will be able to look up an individual listed in my database; determine the favorability rates of outcomes from that individual; then obtain an estimate of their own outcome performance when receiving the result from the individual listed in my database. The outcomes for the listed individual will be tracked by two additional variables as well, whether techique A was used; whether technique B was used.
There will be a search function, listing the individual by last name and jumping to the individual's full name as soon as enough data is entered by the user. The individual's data will then display with those other individuals in the database who are located in the same city (I want to be able to have the user compare the individual to others in the same geographical market).
Framing colors will be in blues, whites, blacks. There will be some easy, custom graphics needed.
The app will work on mobile phones, but if a tablet or ipad is used, or even if a desktop is used, the presentation of data will be optimized for display on the user's particular device.
