This is a image/video player app which will take a side-by-side format image/video and play by converting it to a column interlaced format in real time. The app is to support a 3d overlay film which, when placed on an iPad or an android tablet, will enable viewers to see images/movie in 3D without the use of 3D glasses.
Requirements in details:
A home screen with a Button to select either Video or Image.
If user select Video go to Video Playlist Page. If select Image go to Image Playlist Page.
A video play list Page The lists are taken from, the default video folder on iPad, and a specified folder from an SD card on GalaxyTab.
An Image play list Page The lists are taken from, the default photo folder on iPad, and a specified folder from an SD card on GalaxyTab.
A button to Browse and Choose a local video or image file from the playlist.
A button to go to Youtube and select a side-by-side video from there.
?After user selection :
If Image is selected then Display the image by converting it to a Vertical Interlaced format i(In Bino it's called even-odd-columns). It's important to display the image at exactly 1024x768 for iPad and 1280x800 for GalaxyTab no matter what resolution the original image is.
Users can swipe back and forth to see previous or next images.
There is a 'DONE' Button to go back to the home screen waiting for a new selection.
If Video is selected then play the video (mainly mp4 format) with on screen controls (play pause and seek bar) and with timecode display. It's important that the video plays at exactly 1024x768 for iPad and 1280x800 for GalaxyTab no matter what resolution the original video is.
As playing the side-by-side video, either from the local file or from Youtube, will be converted to a Vertical Interlaced format in real time (In Bino it's called even-odd-columns).
Besides the play, pause and seek bar there are 2 more buttons:
A button to switch the video input between side-by-side or side-by-side halfwidth format.
A 'Subtitle' Selection Button for the user to browse and choose a subtitle in .srt format. If the user does this the subtitle appears in the lower part of the video as it plays.
After the video ends or users stop it. Users click the 'DONE' Button to go back to the home screen waiting for a new selection.
Method of conversion to even-odd-columns :
The 3d video will be in side-by-side format. It has 2 views split in half for left-eye and right-eye image.
To combine the left and right view images into an even-odd-column image. Just copy all of the even lines (one pixel width) of the left image to the canvas and then copy all of the odd lines (one pixel width) of the right image to the canvas. The final image will be in even-odd-column format where all the even lines come from the left image and all the odd lines come from the right.
?Another way to do it is to play the right-eye video exactly on top of the left-eye one. This means playing 2 videos on top of each other and by applying a MASK on the right-eye image we can reveal the left-eye image underneath. The important thing is both videos have to be playing in perfect synchronisation otherwise the 3D effects would be lost. ??Please go through it and give me your price and schedule.
