I have a simple update I need to make to an Android mobile app currently in Google Play.
I have the full source code as an Eclipse project.
I need the following additional functionality:
1. When the app launches, it makes an HTTP GET request to a fixed URL and receives either "0" or "1"
2. If the result is "1", the app does two things:
a. it permanently records this as a boolean flag in the mobile app preferences
b. it presents a full-screen graphic that fills the entire screen, covering up the entire previous interface shown. When the user taps this graphic, a URL is opened in an external browser and the app moves to the background
3. For subsequent re-launches of the app (i.e. where the boolean flag is already recorded as true) the app automatically opens the same URL in an external browser - no need to wait for a tap on the graphic. The app should still show the full-screen graphic however, in case the user switches back to the app.
For a talented programmer this should be a very quick job. We will provide the full Eclipse project for the current version and all graphics assets and information needed. Probably the hardest thing you will have to do is centralise the graphic on screen!
You will return to me the updated Eclipse project, and I will release payment once I have confirmed I can build it and it works to my specification.
Thanks and happy bidding!
