Word Document Formatting Fix

@aqsaishrat

Hello, I’d love to help fix the Level 2 heading numbering in your Word document and make sure the Table of Contents displays correctly. I can review the existing heading styles and numbering structure, identify why Level 2 numbering is not resetting under each Level 1 heading, and correct the style settings without affecting the working Level 3, 4, and 5 headings. Once updated, I’ll refresh the Table of Contents and check multiple sections throughout the document to make sure the numbering follows the correct hierarchy consistently. I’ll keep the existing content and formatting intact and return the corrected .docx ready for your spot-check. Let’s connect and get the document fixed. Aqsa I.

@EricLeroyDev

Hello, Your Heading 2 numbers not restarting after each Heading 1 is a classic sign that the multilevel list is not properly tied to Heading 1, which is why the Table of Contents shows the same fault. The fix lives in the styles and list definition, not in the TOC itself: once the levels are re-linked, numbering resets correctly and the TOC updates cleanly. I will rework the Heading 2 style, re-link the multilevel list and check numbering across the whole document, TOC included. Delivery in 2 days. One question: was the numbering applied through the built-in Heading styles, or typed manually on some paragraphs? That tells me whether a style fix is enough or a few paragraphs need rebuilding. Best regards, Eric
