A kart with a roll bar requires some addtional functionalty for the driver , whislt piloting the kart.
The outcome is to project a ball or cylinder (approx 2KGS) forward , with enough force to push it about 10 meters in under a second . No electrical or pnematic power - the design must be simple (levers and springs is my thinking
This simple mechanism should be mounted on the underside of the kart rollbar to activate a bar mounted at the front to push the object and return back to original loading position again. The bar needs to be activated by a child without too much power required
I have attached some really badly drawn pictures of the basic premise - Im sorry about the quality - the wooden bar is my poor attempt to mock up a design - clearly not my skill.
The project is to design a mechanism that meets those needs , and uses parts that i can buy from a hardware store
