I’m developing a hands-on robot that helps learners grasp coding and programming concepts, and I need a mechanical designer who can take the idea from sketch to production-ready CAD using SolidWorks. The goal is an engaging educational robot—think classroom-safe, modular, and easy to assemble—that physically demonstrates code in action (moving, gripping, lighting up, etc.). I already know what the electronics will do; what I’m missing is the full mechanical package: chassis, actuators and sensor mounts, snap-fit or screw-together panels, wire-routing, and anything else that turns the electronics into a robust teaching tool. Key expectations • Work entirely in SolidWorks, supplying all native files alongside STEP/IGES exports • Develop the full 3-D model, sub-assemblies, and exploded views ready for DFM/3-D printing or light CNC work • Provide manufacturing drawings and a concise bill of materials for off-the-shelf hardware (fasteners, bearings, servos, etc.) • Keep the design classroom-friendly—no sharp edges, minimal small loose parts, and straightforward assembly for students or instructors • Deliver a short assembly guide and any simulation/analysis files you feel are necessary to prove fit, clearance, and basic load paths Will neeed design + report professional tutors can connect for more plz check the word file
