Detail: Magento comes with custom options for simple product. It has Price and SKU built in it. We want to add quantity option for each of the custom options. When we create custom options we want to override the Inventory & Quantity and use the total of the custom options we created. (This should only work if we set Custom Options) otherwise it should act normally.
Case in Point: Currently, Magento will only allow you to enter a particular item and the quantity. In this case we are selling apparel and shoes that come in a variety of sizes. We need to have the ability to list an item, the size and the quantity of each size we are listing. You can see a sample of the front end view on the following link: [url removed, login to view]
Anyone familiar with Magento will understand this concept. The item should show out of stock if all particular sizes of shirts are depleted or in the case where a particular size is sold out, then it should not show the size in frontend. The feature should be implemented in your own copy of Magento and all file revisions sent to us to be must be checked in order for the project to be said complete. Attached is an image that highlights what we are talking.
Live example: In Magento simple products can be done very easily like adding a single size of shirt, pant, or anything. But when you create a custom option like Size 10; 12; 14 etc they can be assigned different SKU's and prices. We need to include quantity and the quantity should work in alignment with the Inventory & Quantity option in case Custom option like SIZE is specified.
Any questions welcome. More screen shots if necessary.
