Python3 UPF to Equirectangular Converter / Stitcher

We need a Python3 script that will take a .upf file as created by Panono 360° cameras and create a full equirectangular .jpg or .png file. The script must be able to run unattended on a headless Linux server, any external dependencies must be free software.
