API to process USSD command and send/receive SMS with an Ethernet LAN GMS Modem

Hello,

I would like to have an opensource API which send USSD command and receive response in clear text. The same program will send SMS and read sms, list all sms and flag unread message. The particularity of this project : I'm using a LAN GSM modem not an USB one. So the main key will be to make Linux virtual server communicate with LAN Modem.

NB: The developer will provide a test program (under Linux) to test API and communication with the Modem through AT commands to execute USSD command, interoperate with USSD submenu , send/receive SMS.... The API should offer the possibility to check Modem status, handle simultaneous operations on the modem....

Hardware :

- Ethernet LAN Modem ( [login to view URL] ) : I use the LAN version (700400170S (LAN-Version)

- VMware Virtual server
