I'm having an Issue with my mysql server not wanting to start. It claims it is not able to write the .pid file, but Unix permissions are fine. I have set mysqld to aa-complain mode so it's not apparmor. I have tried to sudo into as mysql and touch the .pid, which I can do fine. This does not seem to be a simple "Oh I know a little Linux problem" I need somebody that is very proficient with Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.
If you know Samba 4 well enough to run it as Domain controller and share folders and printers, all the better as this would mean future work. Also maybe interested in upgrading to 12.04 LTS if you know how to make my VM-Ware workstation and zarafa/yaffas/z-admin to work with it but mysql is the main concern right now.
Please note: I will not pay for someone that I can tell is looking up commands then "trying" them. Like I said, I need somebody that is very good with Ubuntu.

I'm using ubuntu every day on my computer and servers for more than 4 years. My first look would be at ext4 extended properties cause that may be reason of the failure.
