I have a PHP/MySQL website running on Linux/Apache. The website is a job posting site where employers are able to post job openings and candidates are able to apply for jobs.
When a job is deleted/removed from the database, any links to that job (i.e. in Google search results, etc.) will redirect the user to a "Job no longer available" page. The problem is, that page returns an HTTP 302 response code (Moved Temporarily) which results in Google not deleting the link from search results.
I need the page to return a 410 (Page Gone) response. I'm not sure whether this needs to be done at the PHP level or in .htaccess configuration.
Should be a simple and quick project, but you need to have some expertise with this type of thing.

Hello. I am an experienced server administrator, the 410 code you need can be easily achieved either by using .htaccess or by setting it directly on the php page. Please see my PM. Matej
