I need a simple widget written for OS X. It has to sit outside the widgets folder and launch as a standalone, without the other OS X widgets. It will be part of a larger piece of software I've written. The attributes: It has to be static (the user can't move it) and centered on the screen (preferably it adjusts to the size of the user's monitor but this isn't necessary - I can elaborate later] An applescript (that I've written) will launch it. From the user's point of view, it appears to be a splash (for the software). It's a widget in the sense that it floats above the standard desktop in overlay or desktop mode; otherwise, it' can be viewed as a popover or mini-app.
The 20 second movie [see below] shows how it functions. The first graphic that displays is the widget. I provide the graphic --and control its display and removal.
