I'm using Adobe Illustrator 17, and I'm looking for script that will allow me to import a list of verses or quotes and save each row as a variable.
The contents of column B will be the text for the main text box, and it will be in Futura Condensed bold, except any quotation marks ("") or apostrophes (') will just be Futura Condensed Medium. Then, the script has to resize the text to be the largest size it can without hyphenating or becoming too big for the box.
Then the script should import the contents of the attribution in column C in the line beneath the quote in Futura Condensed Medium. The size of this line will remain the same, but if there is a lot of empty space between the end of the quote and the beginning of the attribution, the attribution should be moved up, as in the "Jesus wept." example in the attached image.
After this is done, the file should be saved as [Column A]-[Column C].png with a transparent background. Then the text should be converted to white and saved as [Column A]-[Column C].svg. The SVG image should be converted to curves only, so it will be usable as a vector file without any text/fonts.
I'm assuming I'll have to convert the spreadsheet to an XML document for the script, which is fine.
