I would like to develop several websites that are capable of importing data feeds from affiliate program to populate the site. The front end of each site will resemble an actual retail site with category navigation, product listings, product details, etc. Upon clicking the buy button the link will go to the specific retailers site for purchase. Each site will need to be able to take unique data feeds provided by each retailer to populate the site. An example is www.efurnity.com. This company is doing exactly this. They are taking data feeds from retailers to populate the site. I would like a very simple and clean design. The data feed needs to be registered once and updated daily to make sure the data feed is the most recent version. This is not an ecommerce site. There is no shopping cart. It is simply a product catalog being populated from retailers data feeds.
This is a test project. If done successfully and profitable I would like to roll this into a much larger project.
another example is http://www.jewelry.com. I am looking to create product specific sites very similar to this. Jewelry is being considered for the first project.
I have uploaded a doc that provides some more details on the features/functions I would like the site to have.
