Individual WEBMASTER wanted - Not a company!
I'm looking to build a long-term business relationship with a web developer, NOT A COMPANY but an individual who wants to work long term with a UK company. You must be willing to work for only us - no other jobs in between. We have an in house developer who is now only able to work part time and he will be checking your work for quality.
SOME OF THE TASKS AND SKILLS INVOLVED:
- Installing and configuring Joomla websites with shopping carts, video content, animation.
- Setting up .html pages and entire websites
- Working with PHP, JavaScript, XML, XHTML
- Modifying blog templates where needed (some more advanced understanding of php MAY be needed here)
- Working with tables as well as with table-less, div-based, CSS-enabled page templates
- Server admin: You need to be comfortable with .htaccess, cpanel, installing MySQL databases
Script installation: The installations need to be "clean" and not "hacks"
Must be good with Flash animation
W3C standards
Good with video content/multimedia rich site creation
Good understanding of SEO
Logo design/website design
YOU MUST BE
- HONEST
- Should be available, easy to reach and respond to emails very fast. I will also be needing a daily update of the tasks at the end of the day. You need to be available via skype from 10am until 6pm UK time!!!
- Should have very good command of the English language.
- Should have attention to detail and be able to follow instructions. Please mention the word Socratic in the first line of your post. Replies without this, will be ignored.
- Should be able to address tiny issues that may arise once in a while without the need to email me about them all the time
- Should be able to do somewhat boring and time-consuming tasks
- Should be driven to evolve, develop and learn. We have a team of 5.
- Should be RESULTS-oriented and not just try to "keep busy."
- Should be responsible and not come up with excuses all the time (THAT is very important).
- Should be proactive. Someone who says: "Ok, I'm done with the last project, what do you need me to do NEXT?"
- Should be "self-managed", have a sense of urgency and understand the importance of deadlines
Should be able to FOCUS and NOT "multitask" or juggle 3-4 different projects at the same time
HOW WE WILL BE WORKING TOGETHER:
- We will discuss projects on skype create a framework/scope of the project and then work to deliver the project within an agreed timescale.
Payment can be sent immediately, weekly or even monthly (depending on the amount of trust that has been built, as well as the amount of work that needs to be done). Payment is via Paypal.
We will pay $800 USD for the first month, gauge your work/personality and then increase to $1000 for the second month and then to $1200 for the third month and then after. You will be working from 10am until 6pm UK time Monday through to Friday and be available on skype and email during these work hours. We will pay 21 days holiday though out the year starting after your second month. As we grow we will ensure you grow with us.
