I need a template for a web site that I can add content to. While I don't have a logo yet, at some point I expect to have one. It should leverage .css so that way I can change colors if desired, although I don't expect to. I'm planning on going with blue and black as the main color scheme. It should be standards compliant so that it will render in all major browsers (IE, FireFox, Safari, Opera). It should support two (configurable) levels of menus, although I don't have a particular mindset where the menus should necessarily be. This will be the basis for a functional website where in addition to various pages with text and explanations, a user will have to be able to manage their account, search through a list of items (so at some point I will have a grid or something), and do some other things. I expect that I will be adding the content and functionality myself.
There will be two main layouts besides the menu and a login / logout piece. There will be times when I want most of the page to be available in one section, and another where I would like two sections split vertically, where the one on the left is about 25% of the available area and the right hand one is the rest.
I don't have a super strong commitment to any particular approach; all I know is that it will be a website for the general public and that a cleaner, crisp interface is preferred. I want it to look very current.
