Responsibilities:
• Architects web, service and database based solutions by studying existing technology architecture; analyzing client compatibility techniques; evaluating solution alternatives; developing prototypes; and writing detailed technical requirements;
• Works together with development manager, product managers & technical leads to plan and execute projects;
• Maintains technical knowledge and understanding of the latest development methodologies and best practices by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations;
• Helps the team resolve technical issues;
• Responds to occasional system errors, including during off hours
Requirements:
• The individual in this position will be part of a cross-skilled team ensuring the items assigned to the team from the roadmap are delivered effectively. Due to the nature of this position, the applicant will need the ability to work from home, abroad and during off-hours as necessary. Candidates should have:
• Experience developing web, service &/or mobile applications, with at least some of that experience dedicated to open source technology based solutions
• Experience in analyzing business requirements, recommending technical solutions, and writing technical specifications and/or requirements
• Experience within a full SDLC process, with multiple teams and multiple skillsets (developers, testers, designers, analysts, operations, etc)
• Excellent understanding of web, server and mobile development technologies in general, including HTTP, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, JSON, REST. Node.js, etc
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to demonstrate work experience by providing examples, samples, and source code
