Create a smart energy meter

Hi! I'm John from Athens. I'm a professional Labview and Arduino developer. Let me assist you on this project. The sensor will send voltage to arduino, the latter to Esp and this in turn will post values on the internet via wifi. My proposal would be to use either ESP8266, or better ESP32, alone. No need for intermediate arduino. This setup is small enough so that it could be hosted on a rail case ([login to view URL]). I have great hands on experience with arduino, shields, sensors and variants. Also I have many projects on my file that were concluded under Non Disclosure Agreement due to academic or proprietary RnD purpose and are not displayed on Freelancer profile. Hi, I have experience in Arduino developing. I can do your project with Arduino Uno and ESP8266. Optoisolated voltage sensor and current sensor. Best regards.

My solution is - program ESP8266 ADC pin using Arduino IDE to read the current from SCT-013-000 and send directly to cloud via MQTT, no need Arduino Uno. As ESP8266 has only 1 ADC pin, you will need 3 separated module for 3 phases. In my solution, I am going to use WiFi Manager to enable user to configure the ESP8266 to connect to any WiFi network without hard-code. Notice that with your requirement, the SCT-013-000 just measures the current only. In order to measure the power, there is a better module such as PZEM-004T. This module take into account the voltage and current and the output is the power. ESP8266 will talk to PZEM-004T and submit the power directly to the cloud via WiFi network. There is a limitation of using PZEM-004T in 3 phases - you will still need 3 modules for 3 phases, however, for 220V the phase voltage will be 380V which will exceed the voltage of the PZEM-004T => you can only use this for 110V system. The cost in my proposal is for software development only. Additional cost is required for purchasing parts or shipment. I will also not be able to test with 3 phases.
