We are looking to work with a J2ME developer who is available to work with us up to 200 hours during the next eight weeks. Frankly, we hope this project will only take 50-100 hours but typically project take much longer than we think.
If you're interested in working with us on this project please copy and paste the following information into a GetAFreelancer private message, “Please assign me the first two hour project. I agree to all of the terms listed in the project associated with this GetAFreelancer private message.”
Unless we've made an obvious oversight or blunder will not answer any questions until you submit your first two hour project.
This project is both challenging and interesting. For more information please see the following:

We would typically not assign you detailed requirements but instead assign you a number of hours to work on a somewhat vague and loosely defined project. If you require detailed and clear requirements then please do not bid on this project.
The first five days you work with us you must work two hours each day. Except for the first five days you work with us, you must be available to work at least five hours per day for 5 of the 7 days from Monday through Sundday. In other words, you may miss (not work) two of the seven days (Monday through Sunday).
However, if you fail to either work or report to us your work by 2am your local time for at least 5 out of the 7 days (Monday-Sunday) we will not pay you any money for the work you have done since we last paid you then we will immediately terminate our relationship with you because you would not have been available frequently enough to work with us.
In other words, we require that you work with us on an almost daily basis. Frankly, this is probably more difficult than you imagine because you probably have much less free time than you suspect you do. Please carefully consider whether or not you are truly willing to work with us five out of seven days each week.
Each of the at least 5 days (Monday-Sunday) that you work for us you must submit a report to us no later than 2 a.m. your local time in which you explain in detail the work you have completed. Writing reports is both tedious and time-consuming. We refuse to accept first and incomplete reports. If you are not willing to take the time to properly create reports please do not bid on this project.
Furthermore, each time you submit a report we reserve the right to either accept it or reject it. If we accept your report then we will assign another to task to you within 16 (sixteen) hours. However, if we reject your report then we will immediately terminate our relationship with you and not pay you for the work you have done for us for which we have not yet already paid you. Therefore please realize that if you decide to work with us that you are taking a risk that we will not pay you any money at all. If you are unwilling to take this risk please do not bid on this project.
We have created this complex procedure because we've worked with many so-called “midnight engineers”. They frequently are very enthusiastic to work with us initially, Save for the first week or two, but we suppose that because they typically have full-time jobs or are enrolled in school, they tend to quickly become unreliable.
In other words, almost if it were scheduled, after the first couple of weeks we begin to receive a series of excuses from midnight engineers who sound much less enthusiastic and much more weary than when they began working with us. We surmise that staying up until 4 or 5 a.m. and then waking up at eight or 9 a.m. to go to work or school quickly takes a toll on these midnight engineers.
If we opine that you have successfully completed this first five 2 hour projects then we will post a $75 project for you on GetAFreelancer which we will invite you to bid on. If you bid on that project then we will award it to you. If you accept that project and we will pay you $75 for that project. In that way we would pay you via GetAFreelancer $7.50 for the first 10 hours which you worked on our behalf within 24 hours via GetAFreelancer.
However, if for any reason whatsoever we are not satisfied with the work you have submitted during this first 5 day then we would not pay you any money at all. In other words, you would be risking that you might work for free.
If you successfully complete the first five day period you must sign our nondisclosure agreement (which we will not provide you with yet) and include a copy of your national identification card, passport or equivalent document.
If you successfully complete the first five day period then we would automatically raise your rate to $10 per hour. We would then require that you work five hours at least per day 5 days out of the 7 days per week as opposed to two hours per day.
Except for increasing the number of hours from two hours per day to five hours per day for at least five added seven days of the week, the same rules would apply for this second five day project as applied for the first five day project. In other words, we would not pay you anything unless we were satisfied with the, at least five, 5 hour projects you submitted to us by 2 a.m. your time during five out of the seven days of the week Monday through Sunday. However, again you would take a risk that we would not pay you any money whatsoever. In other words, Each week you decide to work with us you would take a risk that we might not pay you any money whatsoever.
If you successfully complete the second five day period during which you would have worked at least 25 hours (5 hours per day for at least 5 out of 7 days of the week) and if we were satisfied with your work then we would post a project for you on GetAFreelancer for $10 per hour. For example, if you had worked 25 hours then we would create a $250 project for you on GetAFreelancer which we would invite you to bid on. If you were to bid on such a project then we would award it to you. If you were to accept the project then we would pay you $250 within 24 hours via GetAFreelancer. Of course if you had worked 30 hours then the project would not be $250 but $300.
The third five day period would be just like the second five day but we would automatically raise your rate from $10 per hour to $12.50 per hour.
The fourth five day period would be just like the third five day but we would automatically raise your rate from $12.50 per hour to $15 per hour.
If there were a fifth, sixth, seventh, etc 5 day period or periods, then we would continue to pay you $15 per hour. In other words, your rate would start out at $7.50 per hour and increase to a maximum of $15 per hour.
