we need a software to detect twain drivers like(camera,scanner,dual-scanner,..and for other devices like them)on a client machine from browser(that could be applet based ...if in java)and retrieve image from attached [login to view URL] its in .net or C++ so must be browser independent. Technology is not a boundary but Software must be like need not any installation on client machine all jars or libs will be on server and from client a user can scan or capture documents and upload to the server uploading could be done through PHP code easily.

I just finished a java based application - applet - like that. It detect an use twain driver installed in the local computer. The applet should also contain a pdf viewer to see the images scanned.
